This Privacy Policy explains how Qawa ("we", "us", "our") collects and uses your personal data when you visit  qawa.coffee (the "Website") and when you ask us to contact you with a quote for our coffee cart services. We are committed to protecting your personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, "GDPR") and applicable national data protection laws.

1. Who we are (the data controller)

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer because we are not legally required to. For any question about this policy or your data, please contact us using the details above.

2. What personal data we collect

When you complete our "Request a quote" form, we collect:

  • your name;

  • your email address;

  • your phone number; and

  • any information you choose to include in the message field (for example, event date, location, number of guests, or type of event).

Please do not include sensitive information (such as health details or dietary information linked to a medical condition) in the message field unless it is necessary for your quote. If you do provide it, we will use it only to prepare your quote.

When you browse the Website, our hosting provider may automatically collect technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and the date and time of your visit, in server logs needed to deliver and secure the Website.

3. Why we use your data and our legal basis

Providing your name and at least one way to contact you is necessary for us to respond to your request. If you do not provide them, we cannot give you a quote. We will not use your details for marketing unless you have separately and actively opted in, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.

4. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We may also disclose data where required by law, or to protect our legal rights.

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;

  • rectify inaccurate or incomplete data;

  • erase your data ("right to be forgotten") in certain circumstances;

  • restrict our processing of your data in certain circumstances;

  • data portability, meaning to receive data you provided to us in a structured, commonly used format, or have it sent to another controller;

  • object at any time to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to object at any time to direct marketing; and

  • withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU Member State where you live, work, or where you believe an infringement took place. Our lead supervisory authority is CNIL in France

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page with the "Last updated" date. If we make significant changes, we will make that clear on the Website.
